Kazakh Parliament to Begin New Legislative Session Next Week
The Kazakh Parliament is gearing up to kick off its new legislative session on Sept. 2, as confirmed by a decree signed by Yerlan Koshanov, the chairman of the Mazhilis, the lower house of the Kazakh Parliament.
According to a statement from the Mazhilis press service on Aug. 28, the meeting has been scheduled in compliance with subparagraph 2 of paragraph 4 of Article 58 of Kazakhstan’s Constitution.
Both the Mazhilis and the Senate, the upper house of the Parliament, are set to convene at 11:00 a.m. local time on the designated day. This marks a significant step in the governance of Kazakhstan as the country’s lawmakers come together to address important issues and discuss key legislative matters.
