Kazakhstan Airlines Expand Routes for Spring Season

IndiGo to Launch New Astana-Delhi Route on May 14
ASTANA – IndiGo, India’s largest low-cost airline, is set to introduce a new route connecting Astana and Delhi starting May 14. The flights will operate three times a week on Airbus aircraft, providing travelers with more options for convenient and affordable air travel between Kazakhstan and India.
According to the Kazakh Transport Ministry, this new route is expected to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and contribute to the growth of Kazakhstan’s transit potential. In addition to IndiGo’s new service, Kazakhstan’s flagship carrier, Air Astana, will also be increasing its flights to India by launching additional routes on the Almaty—Mumbai route from April 20.
As the spring-summer season approaches, travelers can look forward to more flight options within Kazakhstan and to popular international destinations. Air Cairo is planning to launch a weekly flight from Kostanai to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, as well as two weekly flights from Almaty to Hurghada. The airline will also resume its weekly flights from Almaty to El Alamein.
In March, Air Astana will be expanding its offerings with new routes from Almaty to Nha Trang, Vietnam, featuring four weekly flights, and from Astana to Nha Trang, with three weekly flights. Furthermore, SCAT Airlines will be introducing a new route connecting Shymkent to Budapest starting May 27, with flights operating twice a week.
Earlier this year, Qazaq Air launched subsidized flights on the Kostanai – Turkistan and Karagandy – Turkistan routes, providing more travel options within Kazakhstan. Additionally, SCAT Airlines has revealed plans to open a new terminal at Shymkent airport, offering a total of 14 domestic and 16 international routes this year. These routes will include destinations in European countries, China, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, and other popular locations.
With these new flight routes and services, travelers in Kazakhstan can look forward to enhanced connectivity and more opportunities to explore both domestic and international destinations.
