Alisher Kodirov lambasts Ministry of Energy’s performance
During a recent meeting of the National Revival (Milliy Tiklanish) party, Alisher Kodirov expressed his concerns about the Ministry of Energy and its handling of information policy. He pointed out that there has been a growing number of complaints and misunderstandings regarding energy issues, with both experts and those less knowledgeable on the topic criticizing the ministry on social media.
Kodirov highlighted the Ministry of Energy’s ineffective communication and information management as the primary cause of this problem. He questioned who would inform the public about important matters such as the current reliance on gas for 75% of electricity generation, issues within the energy grid, efforts to develop green energy, and the scope of ongoing projects.
In late January, Alisher Kodirov made a bold suggestion for the people of Uzbekistan to stop using gas for heating and instead switch to electricity. He argued that by utilizing gas for more valuable purposes, such as producing export products, the country could generate revenue to create millions of jobs for its citizens.
It is clear that there is a pressing need for improved communication and transparency within the Ministry of Energy to address public concerns and ensure a more informed and engaged society.
