ASTANA – Kazakhstan and Morocco have signed an agreement on visa exemption for national passport holders, allowing citizens of both countries to enjoy visa-free entry, exit, transit, and temporary stay for up to 30 days within a 180-day period. The agreement was signed by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita during a meeting on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Sept. 26.

According to the agreement, individuals who wish to stay longer than the stipulated 30 days or engage in activities such as employment, education, or entrepreneurship must obtain the necessary visa from the diplomatic missions or consular offices of the host country.

The agreement will come into effect after 30 calendar days from the date of receiving the last written notification confirming the completion of internal procedures by both parties. During the meeting, the officials also discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations in various areas including politics, trade, economy, investment, and cultural exchange.
