Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to Collaborate in Equestrian Sports

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Astana recently hosted a meeting with Bakytzhan Turlybekov, the head of the Kazakhstan Equestrian Federation “JORYQ”. The main topic of discussion was the organization of the international equestrian marathon “Uly dala zhorygy” (Great Field March) in anticipation of the upcoming World Nomad Games in Kazakhstan. This marathon will cover a distance of 500 kilometers and will feature participation from at least 15 teams from various countries.
During the meeting, Turlybekov proposed establishing strong connections with organizations responsible for the development of equestrian sports in Turkmenistan. Ambassador Batyr Rejepov welcomed this idea and expressed willingness to collaborate in order to strengthen relations between the countries and promote the national traditions of equestrian sports.
Additionally, Turlybekov shared insights on the current state of equestrian sports in Turkmenistan, highlighting the activities of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annaev. This academy, the first of its kind in the region, plays a significant role in the industry.
In a bid to enhance cooperation, the head of the JORYQ federation expressed readiness to work with the Aba Annaev Academy, with a focus on exchanging expertise in developing training methods, coaching trainers, and providing scientific support for training programs.
This initiative aims to not only strengthen ties between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan but also to advance the field of equestrian sports in the region. The collaboration between the two countries is set to pave the way for the exchange of valuable knowledge and experiences in this field, ultimately contributing to the growth and promotion of equestrian traditions on a global scale.
