Kazakhstan Donates Children’s Creativity Center to Azerbaijan
The Kurmangazy Center for Children’s Creative Development was recently inaugurated in Fuzuli, Azerbaijan, as a generous gift from the Kazakh people. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his gratitude for the cooperation between the two countries at the opening ceremony on March 12.
This modern innovation center, initiated by President Tokayev, was constructed by Kazakhstan’s BI Group company with the support of Kazakhstan’s Agency of International Development (KazAID). The center covers an area of 1.5 hectares and boasts various facilities for extracurricular education, catering to up to 600 children in two shifts.
The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, who commended the initiative as a symbol of friendship and unity between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The center is not only a hub for children’s creativity but also a platform for fostering strong ties between the two nations.
Named after Kurmangazy, a revered figure in Kazakh music and Turkic culture, the center holds a special significance. President Tokayev highlighted Kurmangazy’s contribution to Kazakh music, noting his dynamic and modern compositions that continue to resonate with audiences.
In addition to the center in Azerbaijan, KazAID has undertaken various projects in countries like Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic, focusing on areas such as women empowerment, medical education, digital services, and ethical standards for civil servants.
The leaders also took the opportunity to inspect the development plans for Fuzuli, including ongoing construction and restoration efforts in the city. The Kurmangazy Center stands as a testament to the strong bonds between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, promoting cultural exchange and mutual cooperation for the benefit of future generations.
