Kazakhstan Extends Ban on Fuel and Lubricant Exports
Kazakhstan has announced an extension of the ban on the export of fuel and lubricants starting from March 29th. The Ministry of Energy in the country made this decision in an effort to regulate the distribution of gasoline, diesel fuel, and certain petroleum products.
The ban, which will be in effect for six months, applies to the export of these products by road and rail from Kazakhstan to other countries, including those in the Eurasian Economic Union. This measure will be enforced from March 29th until June 30th.
However, there are a few exceptions to this ban. Lubricating oils, fuel stored in gas tanks provided by vehicle manufacturers, aviation fuel for research and development purposes, testing, and industrial production (with approval from authorized bodies), as well as petroleum products sent as part of humanitarian aid by the Kazakhstan government, are exempt from the ban.
This decision is aimed at ensuring the availability of fuel and lubricants within Kazakhstan and managing their distribution effectively. It is essential for businesses and individuals to adhere to this regulation during the specified period to support the country’s energy needs and operations.
