Kazakhstan Secures 83 Licenses and Reveals 2024 Paris Olympics Uniform
Kazakh Team Uniforms for 2024 Paris Games to be Unveiled on July 5
The Kazakh team uniforms for the 2024 Paris Games will be officially presented on July 5, announced Kazakh Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharasbayev during a press conference on June 28. The event took place at the Central Communications Service.
Currently, Kazakh athletes have been granted 83 licenses for the Paris Olympics, which are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11. The list of athletics license holders will be disclosed on July 5.
Zharasbayev mentioned a notable increase in shooting and fencing licenses, while licenses for tennis and freestyle wrestling have decreased. Additionally, Kazakh weightlifters will not be participating in the Olympic Games for the first time in history.
The departure of national teams to Paris will be based on their respective schedules for participation in the Olympic Games. The rowing team is set to be the first to depart for the Olympics on July 20 from Gravelines, France.
Zharasbayev also highlighted that four teams will depart from Astana, while 10 teams will leave from Almaty. Furthermore, 13 teams are scheduled to undergo training camps in Europe before traveling to the Olympic Games. All members of the national team have been provided with Schengen visas, and the Kazakhstan delegation has been fully accredited. Currently, the delegation consists of 118 individuals, including doctors, coaches, athletes, and media representatives.
For fans and individuals interested in attending the Olympic Games, regular flights from Astana and Almaty to Paris will be initiated. Additionally, a telegram channel named “Paris 2024 – Kazakhstan team” has been established for supporters to stay updated on the team’s progress.
