The central market in Osh city is set to be relocated to a new complex starting April 20, according to Mayor Zhenishbek Toktorbaev. The announcement was made during an inspection of the new municipal market, which was attended by heads of relevant departments and law enforcement agencies.

During the visit, the mayor also visited additional markets that are being constructed by private investors near the municipal complex.

Mayor Toktorbaev has instructed the market administration and relevant services to begin necessary procedures for relocating the old municipal complex by April 20. He also ordered for works in the surrounding area to be completed and parking areas to be paved by that deadline, as reported by the City Hall’s press service.

Originally, the relocation of the central market, which is currently located along the Ak-Buura River, was scheduled for January 20. All vendors were advised to move to the territory of the new municipal complex by that date.

The move to the new complex is aimed at providing a more modern and convenient space for vendors and customers alike. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
