Kazakhstan Strengthens Global Energy Partnerships at CERAWeek 2025

During the conference, Satkaliyev met with S&P Global Vice Chairman Daniel Yergin to discuss global energy trends and Kazakhstan’s commitment to sustainable development. Yergin recognized Kazakhstan’s importance in the energy landscape and expressed confidence in strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and S&P Global.
The delegation also held meetings with major energy companies to discuss current projects in Kazakhstan and potential long-term partnerships. Priority topics included updating hydrocarbon production volumes, developing renewable energy sources, and introducing advanced technologies.
Key discussions with Chevron and ExxonMobil executives centered on oil projects in Kazakhstan and future growth plans. Shell and Eni executives explored gas strategy and renewable energy projects, including the construction of a new gas processing plant and a hybrid wind-solar power plant.
