
Kazakhstan’s Generous Donation of Heating Oil to Tajikistan

Kazakhstan Provides 15,000 Tons of Heating Oil to Tajikistan
ASTANA — In a gesture of goodwill, Kazakhstan has delivered 15,000 tons of heating oil to Dushanbe for the Tajik people, as reported by the Foreign Ministry’s press service on March 12.
Kazakh Ambassador to Tajikistan Valikhan Turekhanov stated that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had instructed to provide 2.542 billion tenge (US$5.65 million) in humanitarian assistance to Tajikistan to support the stable operation of the country’s important energy facilities.
The Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID) played a key role in facilitating the transportation of this humanitarian cargo.
The ministry emphasized that this act of providing humanitarian aid is not only a step towards ensuring energy security but also highlights the enduring strategic relations between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, rooted in their centuries-long ties.
Since 2006, the total volume of humanitarian aid extended by Kazakhstan to Tajikistan has surpassed $50 million, underscoring the commitment to supporting and strengthening the partnership between the two nations.
