Kazatomprom Granted Uranium Exploration License in Turkistan Region
Kazatomprom National Atomic Company has recently acquired the exclusive subsoil use license for uranium exploration at block 5 of the Budenovskoye deposit in the Suzak district of the Turkistan Region. The license is valid for six years, as announced by the Kazatomprom press service on Sept. 10.
The Budenovskoye deposit is situated within the Mynkuduk ore district in the Kentse-Budenovskoye metallogenic zone and is linked to the south side of the Inkai deposit. With estimated uranium deposits exceeding 18,000 tons, the site shows promising potential for further investigation.

He highlighted the presence of significant uranium reserves, favorable geological conditions, and developed infrastructure as factors that create unique opportunities for long-term operations. Yussupov also believes that this project will strengthen Kazatomprom’s position as a global leader in the industry.
The acquisition of the subsoil use license at block 5 of the Budenovskoye deposit marks a significant development in Kazatomprom’s efforts to expand its portfolio and secure valuable uranium resources for the future.
