KIBTES honors Küçük and Denktaş – BRTK
The Turkish Cypriot Educators Union (KIBTES) recently paid tribute to two prominent figures, Fazıl Küçük and Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş, on their death anniversaries. Dr. Himmet Turgut, President of KIBTES, expressed his respect and gratitude for these leaders who played a significant role in shaping the Turkish Cypriot community.
Turgut highlighted the pioneering efforts of Küçük and Denktaş in defending the rights of Turkish Cypriots against colonial administration and preventing Enosis through their dedicated struggle. He emphasized their belief that the Cyprus issue could not be resolved without Turkey and their commitment to instilling patriotism in the Turkish Cypriot people.
As the Turkish Cypriot Educators Union, Turgut pledged to continue the legacy of Küçük and Denktaş by nurturing young people who are proud of their heritage and loyal to their nation. He emphasized the importance of upholding the core values promoted by these esteemed leaders.
