Knife-Wielding Man Attacks Passersby in Bishkek
On August 30, an alarming incident took place at Osh market in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. An unidentified man, believed to be in an inadequate state, wielded a kitchen axe and attacked innocent bystanders. Following the incident, a statement was issued by the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Leninsky district. A victim reported being struck by the assailant with a kitchen axe on Kuliev Street at Osh market. The case has been classified under the charge of “Hooliganism” as per the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and necessary examinations have been initiated.
Subsequently, law enforcement authorities apprehended a 31-year-old suspect, who has been confined to a temporary detention facility pending further investigation.
