Gas Explosion in Kok-Zhar Village Leaves One in Critical Condition
On Sunday morning, a devastating gas explosion rocked one of the multi-story buildings in Kok-Zhar village, leaving two individuals injured and in need of immediate medical attention. According to the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, a 62-year-old woman and her 38-year-old daughter were the victims of this tragic incident.
The older woman sustained severe burns to her face, trunk, and all four limbs, ranging from first to third-degree burns covering 60 percent of her body. She is currently in critical condition and fighting for her life at the Emergency Hospital. Meanwhile, her daughter suffered burns to her face and upper limbs, with a smaller percentage of her body affected. Fortunately, she is in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical treatment.
The explosion, which occurred in the kitchen of an apartment on Seitek Street in Kok-Zhar village, caused significant damage to the building’s windows and resulted in the evacuation of the residents. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the cause of the explosion to determine what led to this tragic event.
