A recent incident in the city of Kokand has caused quite a stir, as a wedding cortege led to chaotic scenes on the road. The driver of the car, who was found to not have a license, has been punished with administrative arrest.
The drama unfolded as a video circulated on social media, showing a passenger from a Lacetti car popping out of the sunroof and throwing money out onto the street. This reckless act obstructed the movement of other vehicles on the road.
Following an investigation by the Fergana regional Department of Internal Affairs, it was revealed that the Lacetti was part of a wedding procession. In addition to the passenger’s irresponsible behavior, it was discovered that the driver did not possess a valid driver’s license.
As a result of the court proceedings, the driver has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest, while the passenger responsible for the money scattering has been given 15 days.
Reflecting on his actions, the young man involved in the incident expressed regret, stating, “It was my brother’s wedding. While the car was moving, I popped out of the sunroof and scattered the money. I regret what I did.”
