Hunting Lands Linked to Organized Crime Group Returned to State Ownership in Kyrgyzstan

In a recent development, hunting lands that were associated with Kamchi Kolbaev’s organized crime group have been returned to the state in Kyrgyzstan. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) made the announcement.

According to reports, it was discovered that the director of Nature Energy LLC had close ties with a key affiliate of Kamchi Kolbaev. This company had ownership of hunting lands located in Aitmatov and Talas districts of Talas region, with a total area of 423,966 hectares. This accounted for a significant portion of the region, as Talas region’s total area is 1,140 million hectares.

Following the investigation, the hunting lands were handed over to the Talas Regional Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision. The biological resources found in these lands were valued at 4,465,550 soms.

This move signifies a step towards reclaiming control of valuable natural resources from illegal entities and ensuring their proper management for the benefit of the state and its citizens. The authorities are committed to cracking down on any illicit activities that threaten the country’s natural heritage.
