Japanese Engineering Corporation, Komatsu, to Establish Subsidiary in Kazakhstan to Expand Sales and Service Activities
Komatsu, the Japanese engineering corporation, has announced that it will establish a subsidiary in Kazakhstan aimed at expanding sales and service activities for construction and mining equipment in the Central Asian region. This new company called Komatsu Central Asia is set to start operations in August 2023, according to a press release from the company.
Through this investment project, Komatsu hopes to strengthen its position in the markets of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Previously, the company has sold and serviced construction and mining equipment through distributors in the region and it anticipates that establishing a subsidiary will allow it to better understand the needs of customers in Central Asia.
With Central Asia rich in natural resources, Komatsu expects that demand for construction and mining equipment for infrastructure development will increase as global demand for resources grows and urbanization expands.
The new subsidiary will be located in Astana and will be called Komatsu Central Asia. By establishing a subsidiary, Komatsu aims to deepen its understanding of the local markets and to provide innovative solutions to customers in the Central Asian region.
