
Komil Allamjonov Resigns as Head of Presidential Administration’s Information Policy Department

Komil Allamjonov Transitioning to New Role in Uzbekistan Presidential Administration
Komil Allamjonov, the former head of the Information Policy Department at the Presidential Administration in Uzbekistan, has been relieved of his duties, according to an official announcement. The press service of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed that Allamjonov is transitioning to another role within the government, although details of his new position have not been disclosed.
In an official statement, the press service praised Allamjonov for his significant contributions to the development of freedom of speech in Uzbekistan, enhancing transparency in government institutions, and improving the public education system, all under the directives of President Mirziyoyev. The press service spokesperson, Sherzod Asadov, commended Allamjonov for his professional achievements and success in implementing the President’s key priorities.
Born in Tashkent in 1984, Komil Allamjonov holds degrees from the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture (2006) and the Tashkent State University of Economics (2010). His career in public service began with the State Tax Committee from 2005 to 2013.
Throughout his career, Allamjonov held various prominent positions in the government, including head of the President’s press service, leader of the Uzbekistan Press and Information Agency, which later became the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mass Media Support Fund, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration. He has served as head of the Information Policy Department since August 2023.
Allamjonov’s transition to a new role marks another chapter in his dedicated service to the government of Uzbekistan, and it will be interesting to see how his expertise and leadership continue to shape the country’s media and communication landscape in the future.
