
KR and Kazakhstan leaders discuss cooperation priorities

Bishkek – 10:18, 11 January 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in Astana to discuss the current agenda of cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects of Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan relations of strategic partnership and alliance, and explored ways of further developing their cooperation. They emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements reached at the highest levels of government and maintaining regular political contacts to address bilateral issues effectively.
Jeenbek Kulubaev highlighted the priority of Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan relations in the foreign policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side for their assistance to Kyrgyzstanis affected by the recent plane crash in Aktau.
According to Akorda, the discussions focused on increasing trade and economic cooperation, developing transport and logistics infrastructure, fostering mutual investments, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The two countries are committed to enhancing their partnership and collaboration in various sectors for the benefit of both nations.
