Kumtor Supports 400 Schoolchildren with Backpacks and Stationery Donation
Kumtor Gold Company Supports Schoolchildren from Low-Income Families in Issyk-Kul Region
Bishkek – 02 September 2024: Kumtor Gold Company recently donated 400 backpacks filled with stationery to schoolchildren from low-income families in the Issyk-Kul region. This act of generosity aims to support and assist children in need in the area.
The schoolchildren from various districts in Issyk-Kul, including Tyup, Ak-Suu, Jeti-Oguz, Ton, Karakol, and Balykchy, were the recipients of these gifts. Additionally, at the request of Jeti-Oguz district education department, the company purchased three interactive whiteboards with projectors for schools in Kyzyl-Suu village, Lenin No. 153, Gaparov No. 98, and Abdrakmanov No. 158.
It is emphasized that supporting education is a key aspect of Kumtor Gold Company’s charitable activities. The company’s initiative to assist schoolchildren has become an anticipated event for many families in the region.
In addition to providing school supplies, Kumtor Gold Company also invested in the construction and modernization of educational institutions. This year, the company built kindergartens for 40 and 120 children in Temir-Kanat village in Ton district and Ak-Suu village in Ak-Suu district. Furthermore, financial assistance was provided for the construction of a dormitory for vocational school No. 55 in Barskoon village and its branch serving 100 children in Kyzyl-Suu village.
Moreover, a mini-football field was constructed in the school-gymnasium named after Dzhundubaeva in Kochkor district, and an IT class was equipped in the secondary school in Zhany-Zhol village in the Naryn region earlier this year.
