Kumtor Supports Construction of Kindergarten in Temir-Kanat Village
Kumtor Gold Company Supports Education by Building Kindergarten in Issyk-Kul Region
Bishkek – On June 28, 2024, Kumtor Gold Company announced the completion of the construction of a new kindergarten in Temir-Kanat village, Ton district of Issyk-Kul region in Kyrgyzstan. The kindergarten, which can accommodate 40 children, was financed by the mining company.
During the opening ceremony, President of Kumtor Gold Company Almazbek Baryktabasov emphasized the importance of supporting projects that aim to enhance preschool and school education in the region. He stated, “A new kindergarten is always a significant and joyous event for every family. By opening this facility, children will have the opportunity to socialize and prepare for school, which is crucial for their future success. As the largest industrial enterprise in the country, we are committed to continuing support for initiatives that focus on building new kindergartens and educational institutions locally.”
In response to requests from local government bodies and village residents, Kumtor Gold Company also funded the provision of furniture and necessary equipment for the kindergarten.
The company has been actively involved in various educational projects, including last year’s financing of the purchase of computers, interactive whiteboards, and projectors for schools in Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions. In addition, musical equipment and instruments were acquired for Tyup district administration and the Tyup Children’s Music School, while methodological aids, children’s books, and educational toys were purchased for Special Preschool Educational Organization No. 16 in Bishkek.
