Bekzat Almaz uulu Secures Berth at Olympic Games
Wrestler from Kyrgyzstan, Bekzat Almaz uulu, has secured a spot at the upcoming Olympic Games. Competing in the Asian qualification wrestling tournament held in Bishkek, he participated in the freestyle wrestling category for athletes weighing up to 57 kilograms.
Starting from the 1/8 finals, Bekzat Almaz uulu emerged victorious in matches against competitors from Palestine and China, eventually making it to the semi-finals. In a thrilling bout against a wrestler from Mongolia, he emerged victorious, securing his place at the 2024 Olympics set to take place in Paris this summer.
This achievement adds to the list of Kyrgyz athletes who have already secured spots at the Olympics, including Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Aisuluu Tynybekova, Aiperi Medet kyzy, Akzhol Makhmudov in wrestling, and swimmer Denis Petrashov.
