
Kyrgyzaltyn receives rights to Kyzyl-Ompol subsoil usage

Kyrgyzaltyn JSC Granted Rights to Use Kyzyl-Ompol Subsoil for Mining Operations
On August 9, 2024, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan signed an order granting Kyrgyzaltyn JSC the rights to use the Kyzyl-Ompol subsoil for mining operations in the Issyk-Kul region.
This allows the company to conduct geological exploration and develop deposits of titanomagnetite, zirconium, phosphorus, thorium, and uranium on the Tash-Bulak site. Kyrgyzaltyn also has the right to explore thorium and uranium in Issyk-Kul region and Kochkor district of Naryn region, with the exception of the development contour of the Tash-Bulak site.
The Kyzyl-Ompol deposit, located in Issyk-Kul region, is known for its uranium-thorianite placers spread across 10 sites, with five open sites and five more underground.
