Kyrgyzstan and China Officially Open Bedel Checkpoint with Exchange of Diplomatic Notes
On June 13, 2024, in Bishkek, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Aibek Moldogaziev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Du Dewen, participated in the exchange of diplomatic notes for the opening of the Bedel international checkpoint. This exchange was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The establishment of this international checkpoint will facilitate the movement of citizens, cargo, and vehicles between Kyrgyzstan, China, and other countries across the border. This will not only boost the transport and export potential of the country but also enhance mutual trade turnover, strengthen trade relations between the two nations, and promote cooperation in the field of tourism.
