Kyrgyzstan and UK aim to boost economic ties

On December 13, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev of Kyrgyzstan held a meeting with the British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Nicholas Bowler. According to the press service of the ministry, the discussions focused on cooperation related to the 1.8 billion pounds sterling in financial resources recently provided by the UK. These funds were allocated through the UK’s Export Credit Agency (UKEF) for various projects in sectors such as agriculture, mining, construction, and more, at competitive rates.

During the meeting, the parties also addressed issues concerning ecology, climate, migration, and critical minerals. It was agreed that both countries will continue to work on maintaining political contacts at a high level and organizing investment forums in both the Kyrgyz Republic and the UK.

The partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the UK shows a commitment to developing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for collaboration in different sectors. Such meetings pave the way for enhanced cooperation and mutual benefits between the two nations.
