The Embassy of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic has officially begun accepting applications for scholarship programs for the year 2026. This announcement marks a significant opportunity for eligible students wishing to further their education in Japan.
The programs sponsored by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) include options for "Bachelor’s Student," "Technical College Student," and "Vocational Training College Student." Interested applicants are advised to submit their applications by 5 p.m. on June 20, 2025.
In addition, applications for the MEXT "Research Intern" program, which allows students to study and conduct research at higher educational institutions in Japan, will be accepted until June 13, 2025.
All required documents must be submitted to the Culture and Information Department of the Embassy of Japan, located at 35/1, Tashkentskaya Street. It is essential to be punctual, as late submissions will not be considered.
