Kyrgyzstan Aims for Global Recognition and Prosperity
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Executive Office, Akylbek Japarov, has emphasized the need for Kyrgyzstan to declare itself to the world as a country with great ambitions and readiness to implement large-scale projects. During a staff meeting with employees, Japarov highlighted the importance of projects such as the construction of the Kambarata hydropower station and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
Japarov pointed out that Kyrgyzstan is entering a new stage of development and announced plans to launch over 100 large projects, industrial enterprises, and social facilities in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. Additionally, he stressed the significance of strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s position in sovereign ratings by Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s, and Fitch to attract investment and cooperation opportunities.
The goal is to improve the country’s global presence by showcasing its reforms, progress, and aspirations for the future. Japarov urged for participation in international platforms such as the Davos World Economic Forum, the World Government Summit in Dubai, and the Boao Forum for Asia to establish important connections and achieve strategic partnerships.
Furthermore, Japarov set targets for Kyrgyzstan to rank among the top 30 countries in achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and reach a GDP of $30 billion by the same year. He called on administration employees to demonstrate dedication, creativity, and a drive for excellence to achieve these goals.
