Unstable Weather and Heavy Rains Expected in Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek – On August 27, 2024, the 24.kg news agency reported that the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Kyrgyzstan is warning of unstable weather and heavy rains expected on August 28-29.
The Hydrometeorological Service has indicated that mudflows are possible in the mountainous and foothill areas of the republic, with the water level in rivers expected to rise. In light of these forecasts, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is advising citizens to avoid hiking in the mountains and gorges, as well as refraining from having picnics on the banks of rivers.
If anyone witnesses an emergency, they are urged to call 112 for assistance. Stay safe and be cautious during this period of potentially hazardous weather conditions in Kyrgyzstan.
