Bishkek Medical Team Training in Turkey for Bone Marrow Transplantation
The medical team of the National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare in Bishkek is currently undergoing training in the technology of bone marrow transplantation in Turkey. This initiative was reported by the press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.
The team, composed of eight specialists including doctors, laboratory assistants, and nurses, is participating in this training as part of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Turkish Inonu University.
According to the ministry, the team will be equipped with the necessary skills to perform bone marrow transplantation procedures, including for both adults and children. The Inonu University clinic, known for its expertise in organ transplantation, is providing the necessary training.
The Ministry of Health highlighted that the cooperation agreement was signed following a visit by the head of the department, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, to the Turkish Inonu University in January. The university’s clinic is recognized as one of the top 5 institutions for organ transplantation.
Previously, the ministry had announced plans to open a dedicated bone marrow transplantation department at the National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare in Bishkek. This training in Turkey is a crucial step towards enhancing medical capabilities and providing advanced care in Kyrgyzstan.
