Kyrgyzstan Farmers Benefit from Leasing 188 Units of Equipment in 2025

Bishkek, 18 March 2025 – Agricultural producers in Kyrgyzstan have recently benefitted from the acquisition of essential equipment through leasing projects supported by the state. A total of 7,073 units of equipment, valued at 18.38 billion soms, have been provided to farmers, with 188 units worth 886.1 million soms being distributed in 2025 alone.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan shared that various types of agricultural machinery and processing equipment are being made available to farmers under favorable leasing terms through banks. The lease period extends up to seven years, with an annual interest rate of 6 percent.

This initiative aims to support agricultural producers in enhancing their productivity and efficiency by providing them with access to modern equipment necessary for their operations. By offering equipment through leasing arrangements with state support, farmers can overcome financial barriers and continue to contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector in Kyrgyzstan.
