Kyrgyzstan Joins Eurasian Mountain Resort Alliance

The Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic has taken a significant step by becoming a member of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts. The President of the Fund, Kylychbek Rysaliev, made this announcement after signing a memorandum during the Eurasian Mountain Tourism Forum in Azerbaijan.

Rysaliev pointed out that this alliance membership will open doors to international investments and help expedite the execution of major tourism projects focused on developing mountain clusters in Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, the enhancement of mountain infrastructure is expected to boost the country’s appeal to tourists, generate employment opportunities, and drive regional economic progress.

The Eurasian Alliance comprises renowned ski resorts in countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. Additionally, South Korea is set to make its mark in the Alliance by launching its inaugural ski resort, Yongpyong. This collaboration between various mountain destinations promises to bring about mutual benefits and promote the growth of mountain tourism across the region.
