Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia Discusses Bilateral Relations with Chairman of State Duma Committee
In a recent meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Russia, Kubanychbek Bokontaev, met with the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Commonwealth of Independent States’ Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, Leonid Kalashnikov. The meeting, held to discuss bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, highlighted the importance of maintaining the high dynamics of Kyrgyz-Russian interparliamentary relations.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the parties emphasized the need for strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation while exchanging views on upcoming joint events between the Parliaments of the two countries. Special attention was also given to the current issues concerning the stay of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia, particularly in light of new legislative initiatives in the migration sphere.
Ambassador Bokontaev stressed the importance of preserving and ensuring preferential conditions for workers from EAEU countries in regulatory legal acts. He proposed the opening of separate passages and service windows for citizens of EAEU countries at airports, migration centers, and offices in Moscow and throughout Russia to facilitate smoother processes.
Both parties agreed to maintain constant communication to further enhance allied relations and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. These discussions lay the foundation for continued cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in the future.
