Kyrgyzstan Secures $100 Million Loan from EFSD
The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) has been a significant contributor to the development of Kyrgyzstan since 2009, providing over $660 million in funding. This information was reported by the organization’s press service.
Some of the key projects supported by EFSD include the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Osh highway, rehabilitation of the Toktogul hydroelectric power station, and the commissioning of the second hydroelectric unit of the Kambarata HPP-2. Additionally, EFSD has donated over 100 medical vehicles, improved rural water supply in the Osh region, implemented a grant program for disease prevention in hard-to-reach areas called “Caravan of Health”, financed the supply of agricultural machinery, and provided stabilization financing and support for reforms.
It is important to note that the Kyrgyz Republic is a founding state of EFSD, which demonstrates the country’s commitment to promoting economic development and stability.
