Kyrgyzstan Secures $100 Million Loan from EFSD

The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) has been a significant contributor to the development of Kyrgyzstan since 2009, providing over $660 million in funding. This information was reported by the organization’s press service.

Some of the key projects supported by EFSD include the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Osh highway, rehabilitation of the Toktogul hydroelectric power station, and the commissioning of the second hydroelectric unit of the Kambarata HPP-2. Additionally, EFSD has donated over 100 medical vehicles, improved rural water supply in the Osh region, implemented a grant program for disease prevention in hard-to-reach areas called “Caravan of Health”, financed the supply of agricultural machinery, and provided stabilization financing and support for reforms.

It is important to note that the Kyrgyz Republic is a founding state of EFSD, which demonstrates the country’s commitment to promoting economic development and stability. The continued partnership between EFSD and Kyrgyzstan will likely lead to further advancements in various sectors, ultimately benefiting the country’s population and economy.
