
Kyrgyzstan Sets Date for Next Parliamentary Elections: November 2026

The 24.kg news agency reported that the next parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held in November 2026, as announced at a meeting of the Parliament. Deputy Dastan Bekeshev requested clarification from the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, regarding the date of the elections to the Zhogorku Kenesh in the law to align with the date of the presidential elections.
The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan is comprised of 90 deputies and is elected for a term of five years. The most recent elections to the Zhogorku Kenesh took place on November 28, 2021, with the 7th convocation commencing its work on December 29 of the same year.
