Farmers engaged in livestock and crop production in Kyrgyzstan will start to receive preferential loans in February, according to a report from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry.

The Ministry’s press service announced the adoption of the Financing of Agriculture-12 project as part of the continued implementation of the Financing of Agriculture project.

The project, which involves two state-owned commercial banks, will provide loans totaling 7 billion soms specifically for livestock and crop production.

This new development aims to support farmers and boost agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan. The preferential loans will enable farmers to invest in their livestock and crop production, ultimately contributing to the growth and sustainability of the agricultural sector in the country.

This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to promote and support the development of agriculture, which plays a crucial role in Kyrgyzstan’s economy.

The eligibility criteria and application process for the preferential loans will be announced in the coming weeks, allowing farmers to access the financial support they need to expand their operations and improve their agricultural practices.

As the implementation of the Financing of Agriculture-12 project gets underway, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry encourages farmers to stay informed about the details and take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their livestock and crop production.
