Kyrgyzstan to Build World-Class Mountain Complex

The construction of the country’s first world-class mountain complex, Karkyra, has officially begun with the participation of the head of state. The announcement was made by the Director of the National Agency for Investments, Talantbek Imanov, on social media.

The ambitious project is set to create a year-round mountain complex with the capacity to accommodate up to 5,000 people. The project will be carried out by Karkyra Eco-City LLC at a cost of over $191 million.

Once completed, the Karkyra complex will boast more than 100 kilometers of ski slopes and a 20.7-kilometer cableway. It will be designed and built in accordance with the environmental legislation of Kyrgyzstan and international environmental standards, as well as meeting the requirements of the International Ski Federation FIS.
