Kyrgyzstan to Expand El Aman State Pharmacies by Opening 13 New Locations
Bishkek, September 27, 2024 – The Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, has announced the opening of 13 more El Aman state pharmacies across the country. This declaration was made during a meeting of the Ata Zhurt parliamentary faction. Currently, there are 87 state pharmacies operating in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Minister Beishenaliev, state pharmacies offer medicines at prices that are 20-30 percent cheaper than those at private pharmacies. He expressed optimism that the presence of these state pharmacies will also lead to a decrease in prices at private pharmacies.
The Ministry of Health has stated that state pharmacies will provide more than 800 types of essential medicines. This initiative aims to make vital medications more accessible to the general population.
