Kyrgyz Midfielder Gulzhigit Alykulov Signs Contract with Russian Football Club Torpedo
Bishkek – 12:24, 11 January 2025 – The national football team of Kyrgyzstan’s midfielder Gulzhigit Alykulov will be continuing his career in the Russian Football National League as he has signed a contract with Moscow Football Club Torpedo. The club’s website has confirmed the signing.
The contract with Torpedo is set until 2027, with Alykulov joining the team as a free agent. The 24-year-old midfielder previously played for the Belarusian Neman since August 2023, where he had an impressive season scoring eight goals and making three assists in 30 matches. He was also recognized as the best player of Grodno where Neman is based.
During his time with Neman, Alykulov achieved success as the silver medalist of the Belarusian championship and winner of the country’s Cup. With 40 matches and 5 goals for the national team of Kyrgyzstan, Alykulov is a promising player.
In November 2024, Alykulov announced his departure from the Belarusian Neman football team. According to the German portal Transfermarkt, his transfer value as of the beginning of 2025 is estimated at €800,000, making him one of the most valuable players in Moscow Torpedo.
Born on November 25, 2000, in Toktogul, Kyrgyzstan, Alykulov started his football career at the Dordoi school in Bishkek. He has played for various clubs such as Antalyaspor-m in Turkey, Kara-Balta and Alga in Kyrgyzstan, as well as Kairat in Kazakhstan. His professional achievements include titles like Champion of Kazakhstan in 2020, and Winner of the Kazakhstan Cup in 2021.
