Kyrgyzstani Runner Wins Second Place at Ultramarathon in Malaysia

Bishkek – 12:15, 25 October 2024 – The 24.kg news agency reported that a Kyrgyzstani athlete achieved second place in an ultramarathon held in Malaysia.

Cyclist Vlad Podofedov secured the second spot in the Peninsular Divide race, covering a distance of 1,500 kilometers. The race spans from the southernmost to the northernmost points of the continental part of Malaysia.

Podofedov completed the challenging distance in 99 hours and 14 minutes, averaging 364 kilometers per day. The winner of the marathon was an athlete from Indonesia, who finished in 94 hours and 16 minutes.
