Kyrgyzstani Wrestler Aiperi Medet kyzy Claims Gold at Asian Championships
Kyrgyzstani wrestler Aiperi Medet kyzy has made her country proud by clinching the title of Asian champion in freestyle wrestling. The victory came after a tough battle in the final match of the weight category up to 76 kilograms, where she defeated Reetika Hooda from India with a score of 7:6.
Aiperi Medet kyzy’s victory was particularly impressive as she managed to turn the tables on her opponent with just 15 seconds left on the clock. Despite being behind with a score of 6:2, she rallied back to take the lead and secure the gold medal.
Unfortunately, fellow Kyrgyzstani wrestler Gulnura Tashtanbekova was not as fortunate in her quest for a bronze medal in the weight category up to 68 kilograms.
In other results, Greco-Roman wrestler Razzak Beishekeev brought home a silver medal, while Yryskeldi Maksatbek uulu claimed the third spot in the weight category up to 77 kilograms.
The Asian Wrestling Championships, which are taking place in Amman, Jordan, are set to conclude on March 30. Kyrgyzstan will be hoping for more success in the remaining matches of the tournament.
