Kyrgyzstanis must seek work in the UK via Labor Ministry
Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported on May 24, 2024, that the Director of the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Kudaiberdiev, highlighted the issue of fraudulent employment agencies targeting Kyrgyz citizens seeking work in the UK.
During a meeting of the Ishenim faction of Parliament, Kudaiberdiev emphasized that the Center is the sole entity responsible for legally facilitating employment opportunities for Kyrgyz citizens in the UK under the state program. However, he expressed concerns about the prevalence of misleading advertisements on social media platforms that lure individuals with promises of attractive job offers in the UK.
Kudaiberdiev warned that many citizens have been deceived by these agencies, which often request upfront payments for fake visas and air tickets. Unfortunately, he noted that it is challenging to hold these fraudulent agencies accountable as they operate in other countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, and Slovakia.
In light of these ongoing issues, Kudaiberdiev urged citizens to be cautious and verify the authenticity of job offers before making any financial commitments. He emphasized the importance of seeking assistance from the official Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad to ensure legitimate and secure opportunities for working abroad.
