Kyrgyzstan’s Aeronavigation Agency Plans Flight Route to Kashgar

Kyrgyzaeronavigatsiya state enterprise, in collaboration with China, has announced the development of a new air route project. During a press conference, the head of the state enterprise, Torokeldi Omurov, revealed details about this exciting initiative.
The project aims to open air traffic with the city of Kashgar, providing new opportunities for travelers and enhancing connectivity between the two regions.
Additionally, Omurov highlighted a grant agreement between JICA and the Kyrgyz Republic, focusing on improving traffic management at international airports. As part of this agreement, a new air traffic control tower will be constructed at Osh airport, replacing the existing tower that dates back to the Soviet era. This upgrade will bring modern technologies and enhanced capabilities to ensure efficient and safe air traffic management.
Furthermore, the Kyrgyzaeronavigatsiya state enterprise has also invested in new equipment for more precise weather and climate forecasting at Osh airport, further enhancing the overall operational efficiency and safety standards at the airport.
