
Kyrgyzstan’s Crackdown on Drug Laboratories: 27 Liquidated in Three Years

Interior agencies in Kyrgyzstan have successfully shut down 27 underground drug laboratories in the country over the past three years, the Interior Ministry’s press service has reported.
These drug laboratories were involved in the illegal production of drugs and psychotropic substances, with 12 of them focused on synthetic drugs and 15 on drugs from the cannabis group.
Since the start of 2024, three clandestine drug laboratories producing cannabis-group drugs have been discovered and dismantled.
As a result of the operations to shut down these laboratories, a total of 1 ton 799 kilograms 944 grams of narcotics, psychotropic substances, and precursors have been seized and removed from illegal circulation over the past three years.
Furthermore, in 2023, during a phase of the Canal international anti-drug operation, a significant seizure of 897 kilograms of hard drugs was made on the territory of the CSTO countries.
The efforts to combat drug production and trafficking in Kyrgyzstan continue, with authorities working diligently to dismantle these illegal operations and prevent the spread of harmful substances in the country.
