Kyrgyzstan’s Investment Climate Explored by Akylbek Japarov for U.S. Companies
On June 29, 2024, in Bishkek, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, welcomed a business mission from the United States organized through the U.S.-Kyrgyzstan Business Council. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to enhance the partnership between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and the United States, focusing on interbank cooperation, investment, digitalization, and energy sectors.
During the meeting, Akylbek Japarov highlighted that he had invited American business representatives to visit the Kyrgyz Republic during his working trip to the United States in April 2024. He shared insights on the investment climate in the country and the government’s efforts to create a conducive environment for business operations.
Representatives from companies such as Abbott, Coca-Cola, and OpenWay, expressed interest in strengthening business ties between the two nations. Abbott is a leading global producer of medical and diagnostic equipment, while Coca-Cola is a renowned beverage company. OpenWay specializes in digital payment solutions.
The discussions between the Kyrgyz and American business delegations are a positive step towards fostering economic cooperation and promoting investment opportunities. Both parties aim to leverage each other’s strengths and expertise for mutual benefit.
