
Kyrgyzstan’s Last Bell Ceremony Scheduled for May 25th

Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Education and Science has announced that the Last Bell ceremony in schools across the country will be held on May 25 at 9 a.m. The Minister Kanybek Imanaliev has issued an order to ensure an organized completion of the school year while also protecting the life and health of schoolchildren during the ceremony. Heads of educational institutions are prohibited from collecting money and other fees for holding the ceremony and organizing other events with the participation of graduates and their parents. Responsibility for ensuring security measures during the Last Bell ceremony rests with the heads of educational organizations. Heads of city departments of education in Bishkek and Osh, as well as heads of district and city departments of education, have been instructed to organize round-the-clock duty of responsible employees and hold meetings to inform parents of their responsibility for the life and health of students during celebrations held outside the territory of the educational organization. The Ministry of Education has warned that disciplinary measures will be taken for non-execution of the order by the heads of educational institutions up to and including dismissal from their positions.
