Kyrgyzstan’s Tourism Expansion: 40 New Bases Set to Open by 2025

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Daniyar Amangeldiev, recently led a meeting to address the development of tourism in the country. Various representatives from ministries and the tourism industry were in attendance, as reported by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The primary focus of the meeting was centered on enhancing the infrastructure for tourists, creating an attractive environment for investment, and establishing new tourist routes. Amangeldiev highlighted the significance of tourism in driving economic growth and job opportunities, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure.

“In 2025, we plan to inaugurate 40 tourist bases across the republic. The offices of the presidential plenipotentiary representatives in each region have proposed specific locations, totaling to: Batken region – 7; Jalal-Abad region – 29; Issyk-Kul region – 40; Naryn region – 34; Osh region – 23; Talas region – 10; Chui region – 13,” stated Amangeldiev.

He emphasized the importance of analyzing the necessity for constructing facilities in these locations, exploring their commercial viability, consulting with local communities and investors, improving services, crafting unique routes, and ensuring safety throughout travels.

Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the development of a comprehensive plan for the implementation of the Tourist Bases project. As part of this initiative, one tourist facility will be established in each region of the country to bolster the tourism sector and attract visitors from around the world.
