7 Workers Injured in Rock Slide at High-Speed Train Construction Site in Kayseri
Seven workers at the high-speed train construction site in the Kayseri district were injured when rock pieces fell on them during their shift. Five of the employees managed to escape without harm, but unfortunately, one worker was killed, and another was injured in the incident. Medical teams, law enforcement officers, and AFAD teams were called to the scene to provide assistance.
Governor Gokmen Cicek, who arrived at the scene, confirmed the tragic accident and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased worker. He stated, “7 workers were on shift when the rocks fell unexpectedly. One worker lost his life due to a direct hit, and the other worker suffered injuries. Our priority now is to ensure the well-being of the injured worker and provide him with the necessary medical care.”
The injured worker was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment, where it was revealed that he had sustained fractures to his feet. Governor Cicek reassured the public that the injuries were not life-threatening and that the medical teams were closely monitoring the situation.
