
Last Minute Earthquakes in Istanbul: President Erdogan Assures No Immediate Threat

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan assured the public during the TRT 47th International 23 April Children’s Festival that all units of the state are on high alert following the recent earthquakes in Istanbul. In his speech, President Erdoğan stated, “We follow the process very closely. There is no troubled situation for now.”
The magnitude 6.2 earthquake that recently struck Istanbul has caused concern among citizens. President Erdoğan expressed his wishes for those affected by the earthquake and emphasized that the government is closely monitoring the situation. He reassured the public that, so far, there is no cause for alarm.
President Erdoğan also mentioned that he has been in contact with minister friends, the AFAD President, and the Istanbul Governor to receive the latest updates on the situation. He added, “Alhamdulillah, there is no troubled situation for now.”
