Last Minute News: Ekrem İmamoğlu Receives Visit from Mother
Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently detained in the Marmara Penal Institution in Silivri, received a visit from his mother, Havva İmamoğlu. Following the visit, Havva İmamoğlu spoke to journalists at the door, expressing her belief in her son’s innocence.
“My son has done nothing wrong. The whole world knows this, as does our nation,” said Havva İmamoğlu. “It is his duty to serve the state. He loves his people and they love him back. That’s what I see.”
Havva İmamoğlu also shared her desire for her son’s quick release from prison, stating, “I can’t bear to see him behind bars for much longer.”
In addition to his mother’s visit, Imamoğlu’s Hometown Party Chairman, Muharrem Ince, also paid a visit to offer his support.
“I am familiar with this area. We have been on these roads together before, facing challenges. In those days, there were difficult times with the Ergenekon and Sledgehammer trials,” said Ince. “I am no stranger to the hardships and struggles faced by the people here.”
Ince mentioned that Ekrem İmamoğlu’s spirits were high and reassured him, saying, “Do not worry, these challenging days will pass.”
